Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Remission Radar, a service of FSRC (Five Senses Research Consultants).

Draft under legal review

This page is a draft prepared before review by counsel. It will be replaced by the reviewed version before launch.

This page is offered in English, French and Spanish. Subject to counsel’s review, the English version prevails in case of conflict.

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and the organisation you represent. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

What the service is

Remission Radar provides information about Canadian surtax and remission orders, estimates of amounts that may be recoverable, and tools to organise evidence. It does not provide legal or customs advice and does not act as a customs broker. It never transacts with the CBSA on your behalf.

Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for keeping your password confidential and for the actions of the users you invite to your organisation.

Plans and payment

Paid plans are billed in Canadian dollars through our payment processor, plus applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.

Acceptable use

  • Use the service only for lawful purposes
  • Do not try to access other organisations’ data or bypass security
  • Do not copy the rules or reports for resale without our written agreement

Your data

You keep ownership of the data you upload. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.

Official sources

Orders, notices and titles are reproduced from Government of Canada publications under the Open Government Licence – Canada where applicable. The official texts prevail over any summary or translation in the service.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Results are estimates based on the information you provide and the rules in force on the date shown. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is, and FSRC is not liable for decisions made on the basis of its results. The limits of liability will be set by counsel before launch.

Changes to these terms

We will give notice of material changes by email or in the service before they take effect.
